Jule Gardner writes in the City Desk blog of the Washington City Paper on 12 June 2007 under the headline "The Nice Thing About Being a Joiner" about giving in to the guilt and becoming an overseer of a stretch of trail maintained by the Potomac Appalachian Trail Club.
