It's not surprising news, but Portland, Maine's WCSH television's online content provider Rhonda Erskine reports on 18 January that "The Appalachian Mountain Club, Maine Audubon and other trail organizations are angry that the staff of Maine's Land Use Regulation Commission is supporting a major wind power project in Western Maine. ... Opponents believe it would ruin the view from the trail and damage a fragile ecosystem. They called on LURC to deny the permit next Wednesday."
We can hope.
