"feels he is prepared for the physical and mental challenges of hiking 10 to 20 miles a day. In addition, he has the knowledge and experience of his older brother. Keith Haynie and his wife, Lisa, hiked the trail two years ago. Kevin Haynie said hearing about the couple’s experiences was catalyst for his desire."He's starting with the trail name "Hurricane." and has a journal at TrailJournals.com. Haynie aims to leave Springer on Monday, 18 February and to finish "by July."
